Peter Pan, The High Flying Panto Adventure
New Victoria Theatre, Woking
AD invite.
December 12th 2023
Oh no it hasn’t! Oh yes it has!!! … been about 15 years since I last indulged in a Christmas Pantomime!
A grand tradition in England. A family entertainment comprised of; celebs throwing out all sorts, over most of the audience’s heads… A Pantomime Dame or two appearing in progressively more and more ludicrous costumes. Add a touch of villainy, a bit of scandal and a double cross. Chuck in some catchy tunes for good measure. A splash of audience participation and you’ve got yourself a pantomime!

Peter Pan at The New Victoria Theatre Woking expertly curates this time honoured tradition. Loosely following the plot of Peter Pan as set out by J.M Barrie. They have created a power house of a production. That takes the audience to Neverland.
With the help of; an extremely talented ensemble, Anton Du Beke, Paul Chuckle & Nigel Ellaco. You are transported through the skies of London to the shores of Neverland. Where Captain Hook and Crocky Mc Crock Face await to entrap their greatest foes.

In two hours we are dazzled by Mrs Smee, Nigel Ellacott’s, costumes. Titillated by Anton Du Smee’s cucumber & pivot. And of course warmed by the childhood nostalgia of the ‘to me to you’ of it all. With Starkey, the iconic Paul Chuckle.
Through confusion, dance and song our goodies and baddies battle it out. But of course, as with any pantomime worth its cheers, we get our happy ending. Of forgiveness, faith, trust & pixie dust.
This loveable family show is on at The New Victoria Theatre Woking until Sunday 7th January. With tickets starting at £13.
